Editorial independence

Editorial policy

No payment decides what gets published or what rating a place receives. Here's what does.

Our priority is that a fact is correct for the reader, not favourable to whoever paid for it. A business can pay for a featured listing in the directory, but that never buys a different price than the real one, a greener freshness badge than it has earned, or the removal of a well-founded negative review.

What separates content from advertising

Every paid placement is labelled as such, visibly, before the first click. Editorial articles are decided by the content team based on what serves the reader — not on who wants to appear this week.

Corrections

If a business, a reader, or we ourselves catch an error, it gets fixed and logged in the article or listing's public history — never edited quietly.

Sources

We prefer direct, on-the-ground verification. When we cite an external source (an official body, a news outlet), we link to it.
